Welcome to Goorambat Railway Hotel located in north east Victoria. The historic Railway Hotel was built in 1884. We are a family orientated hotel with indoor and outdoor dining. We also have a main bar and billiard room. We are part of Wiki camps/Pub camping, so you are welcome to free park in the back yard and join us for a drink and/or meal. Broken Creek Bush Camp, is but a 5 minute drive away for accommodation with Doc Hair but is closed as of 5th December 2023. There is a farm stay through air-bnb called ‘Top of the Hill House’, with Miles Greenway as host in Goorambat and only 3 minute drive. There is also an air bnb in Goorambat itself, with Justin and Eliza as your hosts “Silo Art Stay”. Other than that, Benalla is our closest main town with lots of accommodation options and taxis do come out to us.
We are part of the North East Silo Art trail, and have the beautiful ‘Sophia’ wall art by Adnate in 2017 on display inside our Uniting Church, as well as our amazing Millie the ‘Winking Owl’ and farm scene by DVate in 2018 on our Silos across the road, together with the 2019 addition again by DVate of the local Trewin family draught horses (who we can light up at night should you visit the hotel). No paintings in 2020 due to Covid restrictions, but there is a gorgeous painting of ‘Rusty’ on the shed on the south of town in 2021 by DVate as you drive in. In 2022 we introduced our third Australian artist, Simon White to our town, he has created an amazing creation on the Public Toilet Block, located directly beside our hotel. You will not recognise it as a toilet block! We have also extended our hotel to include new mens, ladies and disabled/baby change room and a vibrant new kids room is back with toys and games.
We have an extensive menu and if you are thinking of coming with a large group, we are able to cater for your needs (special menu can be created) and we can open on a Monday or Tuesday for large groups (30+ people) by calling and arranging this with Jacqui at the hotel in advance. We also have a wide variety of Gluten Free options on our menu.
